VIDEO PROJECT: Teacher Development Day
PROJECT DESCRIPTION & REFLECTION:
I was planning to start my project with lego guys coming in and fighting. Then one of my peers suggested the idea of having teachers in the film. So I came up with a project that would be a teacher development day where teachers would come together and talk about what they were going to do for the next month. Next, I did a storyboard about the project. I looked into the rubric and found what I needed in the film. Once I had all these ideas put together I started out with a stop motion. The project then went smoothly into me shooting film. One the film was ready I was able to import it into a movie. From there I added sound. Once I had everything in place, I exported into YouTube.
From the documentaries we saw (Donald Duck, Roger Rabbit) I took into consideration some of the camera angles so as we were watching the teacher suggested trying to make animation titles. I took this advice and came up with the title for my stop motion. The title has different letters coming from all angles like an animation. Another thing I took into consideration was the lighting. Some of the lighting I saw was harsh light, hard light, foggy light and stormy light.
What I learned from this project is different camera shots (full body, medium full, medium, close, close-up, extreme, over the shoulder, straight on and take away). From these shots I incorporated it into my film knowing the different meanings of each. Another thing I learned was the different lighting. Using different lighting and seeing different lighting has taught me different ways that I can use it in filmmaking. Lastly, the most important thing that I learned from this project would be the flexibility in the project. If there was a technical different and I didn’t have the things to fix it at the time, I would have to move around it and do something else.
What I loved most of this project would have to be the freedom of the topic programs and the freedom of stop motion and video. The reason why I loved this is because it gave me a general topic that I may want to learn more and improve upon in the real world. I can continue expanding my knowledge on the programs and ideas I choose. The knowledge that I learned I can incorporate into a job in the real world and become successful. Lastly, I enjoyed taking pictures and this is inspiring me to become a photographer or stop motion artist at a movie studio.
What I would have done different in the project would have been spending more time on it so when I got it done I would have received more critiques and had more time focusing on the quality and sound of the project. Also, I would have loved to put in more video for thought levels or first person shots. I would have loved adding different types of music.

Political Cartoon
for my political cartoon I disied to make it look like an orca was trying to tell the person that it was in need of help.my reflection to the black fish movie is that in a way I disagree with it but in a way I agree with it. The reason why I disagreed is because in a way wouldn’t people like to shut down a company that makes a lot. In my terms I disagree with the film because as I said they just want to get rid of a company that makes a lot.

Teacher Creature
Teacher Creature Project Reflection:In digital art we were assigned a project were we had to take a picture of a teacher and make them into a creature. The steps to do this were to send an email to a couple of the teachers we thought would work. I sent an email to Brian and Caitlyn and collected a little info of what they like to do in their free time and what makes them laugh the most. After I did this I decided to do Caitlyn. And I figured to and an alpaca on a vine in the middle of a jungle then thinking a little I thought that if I was to put the teachers face on the alpaca it might offend them because I was going to put a fart could on the alpaca. Then I got a great idea that idea was to have a cheetah chasing the alpaca and the cheetah would be the teacher. Then another idea came up that is to have a monkey also chase. As I was adding detail I came across a problem and that was to make a halo clipping mask for my name I overcome this by asking the sub that day. My favorite part of this project was to make the teacher in to a cheetah. What I will take away from this is how to do a halo clipping mask and how to add texture to a face.

Photo Shop Tutorials
- For this I learned how to use the quick select. Select the braces and then dragging them out of the photo then smudging the rest.
- I learned how to use the pen tool to change the saturation on the eyes to change the color.
- For this i had to create a clipping mask and take the paint tool to change color of hair.
- learned how to Warp a single individual tooth to shape it to a vampire tooth.
